School Fees
Fees for the school year 2011/2012 are £8,700 for students from 11 to 18. Below 11 years the fees are £6,120. Fees for the Nursery depend on the number of sessions attended (please contact the Nursery Manager, Ms Reynolds, on 01253 784130 for details).
The fees can be paid at the beginning of each term, in three equal amounts, or monthly without extra cost.
Where there are two or more children at King Edward VII and Queen Mary School, reductions are as follows: first child - full fees: second child - *10% reduction: third and subsequent children - *20% reduction.
The School fees cover all textbooks and exercise books which are provided for pupils. They also cover a comprehensive careers guidance programme, including university entrance, and all examination fees for GCSE and A level exams. Transport to regular school fixtures on Saturdays is included in the fees. There are additional fees for International students requiring extra tuition in English, details are available on request.
We believe that we include in our fees a number of items which are charged separately to parents at other independent schools, notably fees for public examinations. The costs for school trips are much the same as in any other school and these vary from just the cost of the coach fare, for example for a class day visit, to rather more expensive holidays, such as a ski trip, offered on a voluntary basis.
As a general guide parents usually work on an increase of 5-6% each year, but this does depend on cost of living increases and on other similar factors.
*Nursery school sibling discount is 5%
