Sociology

Sociology continues to provide students with the opportunity to discuss current issues and trends in society and is helpful for a range of university courses. Results at A2 were very pleasing with a 100% pass rate; 60% of the grades awarded were at A or B grade. There were several excellent individual module scores. The students worked hard to achieve these results and are to be commended. The results for AS students were also encouraging. Sociology has had a substantial uptake in the Lower Sixth and continues to have a high retention rate from AS to A2.
