Careers Education and Guidance
The Careers Department aims to equip all students with the skills and knowledge to enable them to make informed decisions about their future in continued learning and employment.

It is the aim of the Careers Department to support all Year 11 students and their parents in planning the transition at Key Stage 4.

Scheme Outline

  • Individual Guidance Interviews.
    All students receive a one-to-one guidance interview with the Careers Adviser during the Autumn Term. Parents are invited to attend.
  • Sixth Form Open Evening.
  • The Careers Adviser provides information and advice on the choice of A-Level subjects and their implications for students and parents on request.
  • Post 16 Choice Interviews.
  • The Careers Adviser and the Head of Sixth Form jointly interview all students to discuss and advise on post 16 intentions. Parents are invited to attend. The Careers Adviser attends school from results day onwards to help students make their final subject choices.
