A2 Level Drama & Theatre Studies Overview

Unit 3 (DRAM3): Further Prescribed Plays (including Pre-20th Century)

Texts being studied:

Goldoni - The Servant of Two Masters
Wertenbaker - Our Country's Good

Plays should be studied as a whole text with a sense of directorial overview which encompasses all areas of the production process. Students should be made aware that set & costume diagrams will be required to answer questions in the examination.

To be assessed by 2 hour written examination at the end of the A2 course.

 

Unit 4 (DRAM4): Presentation of Devised Drama

Students to produce a devised thematic piece of Drama influenced by a theatrical style or practitioner. Their work will be accompanied by a tri-partite piece of written coursework, explaining how the performance has been influenced by a particular practitioner.
