The programme of clubs and activities during the week, both at lunchtime and after school, gives each child the opportunity to pursue his or her personal interests in intellectual, creative and aesthetic or physical pursuits. Specialist coaching and excellent facilities, together with a full fixture list in team games against local primary and independent schools, means that the school enjoys a fine reputation for its sporting successes.
Music and drama are also particularly important in the life of the Preparatory School. The children sing and play a wide variety of instruments in regular concerts and recitals. Many children take speech and drama lessons and the Christmas drama production is a highlight. The programme of educational visits adds an extra dimension to classroom learning.
