Transition to Juniors

The Infant School is part of the Preparatory School and children benefit from continuity between key stages of learning. There is a seamless approach to the curriculum and to knowing the individual child, so that transfer to the Juniors, for children between 7 and 10 years, is a natural progression.

Continuity is evident not only in curriculum planning and subject co-ordination, but also in other practical ways: pupils in the Infant School interact with Junior School pupils and staff through assemblies, lessons taught by Junior School teachers, and whole school events. Our Year 2 pupils look forward to moving into Juniors with eagerness and confidence.
