Conservative Calls

The Prospective Conservative MP for Fylde constituency, Mark Menzies, visited School recently, to have an informal chat with the Principal and some of the sixth form students who will be eligible to vote in the forthcoming General Election.
The students asked probing questions about university funding, defence and small business support, which were all answered by Mr Menzies in a very honest and forthright way.
The students were so impressed with the detailed information and background that Mr Menzies provided in his answers that they asked if it would be possible for him to hold a question and answer session, for the whole Sixth Form, sometime before the election.
Mr Menzies not only agreed but invited members of the Sixth Form to visit the Houses of Parliament with him, so they could have a better understanding of the workings of government. His return to KEQMS will be eagerly awaited if this ‘taster' was anything to go by.
