Giving
Corporate Giving
There are various ways in which organisations and individuals can give to the school.
Match Funding
It is possible that your employer will match your donation to KEQMS. Some corporations, such as the RBS Group, even operate a ‘double match' scheme up to a certain threshold. Ask your employer if they offer such a scheme and your donation will have an even greater impact on the future of KEQMS and its pupils.
Sponsorship
If you know of or are involved with an organisation who may wish to sponsor the school, please let us know.
Payroll Giving
Payroll Giving is an easy way to give money to charity. It is a flexible scheme that enables employees to make charitable donations to the King Edward and Queen Mary School Foundation directly from gross salary, meaning donors receive immediate tax relief on the value of their donation. For example, a basic rate taxpayer wanting to give a £10 donation will only pay £7.80 or just £6 for higher rate taxpayers.
Payments are deducted straight from your salary either as a regular monthly payment or as a one-off gift. Please contact your payroll department for a Payroll Giving Form.
Company Giving
The company simply makes a donation and claims tax relief when calculating profits for corporation tax. Donations can be made over a period of time or as a one-off payment. For example: for a company paying corporation tax at 30%, the net cost of a donation worth £10,000 to KEQMS would be only £7,000.
Transfer of Assets
Gifts of capital assets, such as shares, can be made directly to the School without the donor incurring any liability to Capital Gains Tax or Inheritance Tax. In addition, no tax would be payable by the School if the value of that asset was subsequently realised.
Please be in touch with the Principal who will be happy to discuss any of the ways you would like to support the school.
