Year 7 B team Won 5 - 1

The Year 7 netball teams did well to overcome the very cold conditions to record two wins against local rivals Carr Hill. The A team started strongly and working as a team adopted the tactics introduced in training to pass the ball accurately down the court. Good shooting at one end and defending at the other was linked well by ‘player of the match' Leah Macaulay and the final score of 7 - 2 reflected the excellent standard of netball played.
Great play by the B team saw the girls break through the Carr Hill defence time and time again giving lots of scoring opportunities for shooters Mady Baker and Anya Shelmerdine. An excellent success rate from Anya earned her the ‘player of the match' award and the final result was 5 - 1.

U13 C Team: Won 5 - 2
POM - Elizabeth Drinkwater
In bitterly cold and wet conditions both teams did well to defeat local rivals Lytham. The A team had a lot of scoring opportunities but a lack of attention to detail saw the final pass go astray or the ball fly past the post. We went into the break 2 - 0 ahead, thanks to goals from Grace Chadwick and Charley Holyoak, and then after the break more goals from Niamh Hendry & Megan Wildish secured the win.
The B team started slowly but went ahead through a Tilly Lawson goal. Lytham had chances of their own but we went two ahead before a defensive lapse saw us concede and go into the break 2 - 1 ahead. We secured the win early in the second half with our third and 4th goals before Lytham scored again. Another goal just before the final whistle made it an impressive 5 - 2 score-line.
