Scorer : D.Harrison (3) J.Kirkpatrick, K.Stokes
POM - Darley Harrison

Playing in the local U14 league gives playing opportunities to some girls who don't play regularly and this first match proved a very successful one!
The first half saw us dominate play but it took a while to get on the scoresheet. Good play down the right from Ella Morris and Laurel North saw us create a number of chances and it was from a great through ball from Ella to Laurel that the first goal came when a shot deflected to Jessica Kirkpatrick infront of the goal and she slotted home.

After the break Darley Harrison, made the most of her time on the pitch and the freedom to run around as she covered almost the whole pitch and her energetic approach saw her score a well deserved hat-trick, the pick of which an individual effort which saw her intercept the ball in midfield, run round 4 Baines players and slot past the keeper.

The final goal came from a well struck shot from Katie Stokes after good play down the left from Eleanor Sharples.King Edward VII & Queen Mary School

The U12 hockey squad enjoyed another great afternoon against Arnold which saw us play some good hockey and field 3+ teams!

The A team played really well in the first half and went ahead in the 5th minute when Leah Macaulay scored. Arnold had chances of their own and only great play from keeper Laura Meek kept us infront up to the break. After the break Arnold put more pressure on our defence and we struggled to clear our lines. Arnold deservedly equalised in the second half after we gave possession away and their hard-hitting centre gave Laura no chance with a great strike. The rest of the half saw Arnold continue to dominate and Laura was required to make a couple more good saves but at the final whistle a draw was a fair result.

The B team also enjoyed a close game with Jodie Wilcox dominant on the right wing and good play at the back from Robyn Whitaker but Arnold got two goals to secure their win. The C team, playing against Arnold B, did themselves proud with an energetic display and only a goal in the last minute spoiled the result. Chloe Hall had a great game on the wing which earnt her the ‘player of the match' accolade.
