Mixed results for the Year 7 netball teams against local rivals Lytham. The A team played well in two thirds of the court and created a number of scoring opportunities but inconsistent shooting saw the chances go by. Lytham on the other hand created fewer chances but converted more of them to edge into the lead before the final whistle.
The B team however proved too strong in all departments and excellent shooting by Robyn Whitaker and Malley Parsons converted our chances as ease and led to an impressive final score.King Edward VII & Queen Mary School

Any game against Arnold is always going to be a hard fought one and this proved to be no different as both Yr 9 & 10 teams battled to keep their unbeaten record in the league.
The Year 9 started really nervously, despite being the better netballers, and Arnold went into a 5 goal lead in the first 5 minutes. Tentative passing saw us lose possession frequently and the final pass did not find our shooters. As the game progressed we slowly gained in confidence and by half time we had edged into a narrow two goal lead. After the break we started to show our class and excellent play by Nicole Brown linked defence to attack superbly and the shooters found their range and converted our scoring opportunities. We continued to improve as the game progressed and deservedly came out as winners by the final whistle and remain unbeaten.
The Year 10 team again rose to the challenge and played some superb netball. Excellent defending by Jemima Diggle and Montana Durant kept the Arnold scoring opportunities to a minimum and at the other end great teamwork from Rachel Williams and Ellie Curtis created many scoring chances which they converted at ease. Overall a display of mature, disciplined netball which saw us take maximum points and remain on track for the league title.
