What Our Pupils Say

There are a variety of forums through which the student voice may be heard.

The Sixth Form Council is elected by students in Years 12 and 13. It meets the Head of Sixth Form to advise on the running of the Sixth Form Common Room and to help organise sixth form events. These include charity fund raising activities, for example the annual Dragon Boat Race on Fairhaven Lake, and social events such as the Christmas Party and Summer Ball.

Form representatives in the Lower School (Years 7 -9) and Middle School (Years 10 -11) are elected to the Student Council. It has a Chairman and Secretary, and meetings are held four times a year. The Council has been responsible in recent times for a successful paper recycling initiative, charity non-uniform days, improvements to facilities and many significant changes to school rules and routines.

Each class in the Juniors (Years 3 to 6) elects a pupil to the Preparatory School Council.  Meetings are chaired and minuted by pupils, and business in recent years has included improvements to playground equipment, running a school shop and helping with school events such as open days and parties.
